It is a common recommendation to consume foods or follow traditional practices which are proven beneficial (May not know the mechanism, reason, etc.). On the other hand, we also have fewer options to hesitate about the purpose of an advertisement. The main goal is to sell the products and make a profit with a few exceptions. Sometimes we see different print and electronic media promote specific products by masking or hiding true facts. In addition, they intentionally or unintentionally cause damage or harm to our traditional food-related practices. As a result, consumers, as well as small entrepreneurs, easily get confused to consume or produce or practice traditional foods. The nutritional status of mass people is also affected. So, regulations need to be implemented strictly about the contents and intentions of the advertising.
